# Can Steam curators get paid?

How Steam curators and game bloggers can earn money for their recommendations: per-wishlist jobs from indie studios, tracked with Steam UTM links.

Updated 2026-10-09.

## Curators usually work for keys

Most curators get a free key and nothing else, even when their review sends a lot of players to a store page. The work is real; the pay usually isn’t.

## Get paid per wishlist instead

- Claim a job for a game that fits your curator list or blog.
- Write your review and use your tracking link in it: blog post, curator review link, Discord, or social post.
- Earn for every wishlist Steam attributes to your link within 72 hours of a click.

Wishlistme reads Steam’s own [UTM report](https://wishlistme.me/guides/steam-utm-tracking), so only real wishlists count. Never reward your readers for wishlisting; that breaks Steam’s rules.

## Getting started

Sign up, add your curator page or blog as a channel, and claim a slot. Earnings are held for 30 days after Steam verifies them and then paid out through Stripe. [See open jobs](https://wishlistme.me).
