# How to get Steam curators to cover your game

How Steam curators work, how to find ones who fit your game, sending keys with Curator Connect, and how to tell which curators bring wishlists.

Updated 2026-10-09.

## What a Steam curator is

A curator is a Steam account or group that recommends games. Their followers see the recommendations on store pages and in their Steam feed. Many curators also run a YouTube channel, a blog or a Discord.

## Find curators who fit

- Look at games similar to yours on Steam and note which curators reviewed them.
- Check that they still post, and that their reviews have some detail.
- Prefer a small curator who covers your genre over a big one who covers everything.
- Be careful with curators who only collect keys and never review.

## Send keys with Curator Connect

Steamworks has a Curator Connect tool for sending your game to curators directly, without handing out loose keys. Add a short personal note: what the game is and why it fits their list.

Before launch, a demo or a playtest build works too. A curator review linking to your page helps you collect wishlists early.

## See which curators bring wishlists

Followers in a curator’s feed don’t show up in your UTM data, but a curator’s links from their blog, video or Discord can. Give each curator their own [UTM link](https://wishlistme.me/guides/steam-utm-tracking).

On Wishlistme curators and bloggers can claim jobs like video creators and are paid per wishlist their link brings. [Post a job](https://wishlistme.me/indie-game-marketing).
